With decentralized bridging we aim to provide an alternative to centralized solutions by eliminating the need for trusting a single entity with custody of the BTC. This relies on smart contracts, decentralised cryptographic techniques, and decentralized governance to ensure transparency, security, and the faithful representation of BTC on the Ethereum blockchain.

Our decentralized protocol allows the movement of Bitcoin (BTC) onto the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain in the form of a token called BTC.i. Our goal is to bring BTC's liquidity and functionality to the Ethereum ecosystem, enabling BTC holders to interact with various decentralized applications (dApps) and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols on Ethereum without the need to sell or convert their BTC holdings.
